this tool may attract attention from google workers since it's the cgi stuff who is querying the servers. (it's not client based)

how would a client app be any different?
at least it's centrally located here, and you don't run the risk of getting your own ip # banned.

Use your forum for something else with your PR of 6. Already there are 4 large forums dealing with these issues.
You are probably better off asking SEO Chat to add one or two of your forums and to be a moderator for those.

..maybe, but I'm still giving it a go with the forums.
I get about 100 visits per day from the search engines. I have only the 1 ranking report tool, so I added a forum fairly easily to try to offer something more to my visitors.

Getting return users takes time.
