site review, please!

Hello Everybody,
I am new to this forum and pretty much well-versed in SEO techniques that I have learned by watching in other forums. I must say you have a pretty neat group of people her. Congratulations!

I would like to hear from the other side of the fence what critiques or suggestions you have for my two websites that I personally optimize. They are:

http://www.background-checks-systems.com
Presently no. 8 in Google for background checks, used to be no.3
keywords are: background checks, background check, criminal records, employment screening, tenant screening, criminal background checks

http://www.ecriminalrecords.com
keywords are: background checks, background check, criminal records, employment screening, tenant screening, criminal background checks

Thank you kindly and hoping to return the favor one day.
Sincerely,
Joe

Hey there...

Nothing to cry about with being #8 now is there? LOL

the second one... get more links back to it... it only counts 24 at google... whereas the first one has 110.. and try to get links back that are PR4 and above.

There is a record store in Atlanta called Criminal Records. I just now got it. Damn I feel like Phoebe on Friends.

I think with youre main Keyword in Domain-Name you should be able to get the first Place here for Search-Term Backgrund Checks

You should use <h1> Tags on The Top of youre Site (take an external css to keep them small in Browser).

This should help you to get some Places higher in youre Results!

Four years later in 2007, it is interesting to see where these sites are now in the SERPs:

background-checks-systems.com: is #38, which is still pretty good in Google SERPs, for only 1500 backlinks.
ecriminalrecords.com: is at about #500.

Those SERPs are for the keyword "background check" in Google.
# of competitors is about 21,000,000.

By contrast, a much newer site (1 year old) with significantly more backlinks has a SERP much further down than the SERP of background-checks-systems.

almost 1 year later, background-checks-systems. com cannot be seen on top 100 in google. I wonder if he's tired to SEO it again. lol

Why is this posted here with a 6 post user? Is it that of you follow the rules you have to wait, but if you just post in the wrong forum you get to ignore them? Or the rule came in after this post?
