Site review and opinions, previous optimization work on it!

Hey Guys,

I just thought I would see what people thought about the optimization and overall opinion of the site before I made any changes. I just acquired this site as of recent, and the previous owner had hired someone out to do the optimization on the site.
So before any changes are made, I wanted to see what savvy people out there wanted a chance to tear apart the site with your input.

Go to town on this one if you want, bad and good. I will start injecting some ideas I had to change content and optimization. The main issue is the PHP, which I have really no experience with. Any helpful suggestions would be great.

That splash page I thought was the first go when I saw the site, as well.
