Heyya, if you all could direct your attention to www.buying-bar-stools.com I just launched this, and the Yahoo store backend is just *not* set up to handle web standards (can't put a doctype in, etc. Causes little things like padding to mess up in IE, not the end of the world)
Anywho, everyone I know can see the product images, but I got an email today from a woman who couldn't see the products. If anyone can't see them, could you leave your browser & version, OS, internet service, and whether it times out. If you do NOT see the product, can you please check this link: http://store1.yimg.com/I/yhst-62318145222142_1803_83145 That's how the store is spitting out the images. Thanks in advance. -Greg |

I was debating that, and I opted against it, simply because the yahoo store structure (which I hate) doesn't support directories. Since the site is so flat, by not having a site map I'm adding some structure to the flow of PR/link pop/whatev

All products look good on IE 6.0. She must have been drinking too much, fell off the stool, and hit her head!

*sigh* yahoo issues yet again. I really hate this project, solely for the constant stream of problems that yahoo is presenting. going w/o the dashes should work, although the dashed one is the target for link pop. |

Possible cause
I had a similar problem with my website. Some viewers couldn't see my pictures. After days of intrigue I finally discovered that the cause was Norton's ad blocking features (many computers come with this AUTOMATICALLY ON). It looks for pictures that are a certain size (e.g. 120 x 90) and contain a link and blocks them because it thinks they are ads.
Solution is just change your images to a weird size (120 x 88). This weird thing only happens to images that are links. Do a search on internet and you'll see loads of webmasters complaining about this. Simplest way to find out if this is what the woman saw is download the trial version of Norton and see if the images are blocked. I think this could be what is wrong David |

Now that's interesting. It's also ridiculous. Why would norton do something so drastic on such a broad scale? All the images are nice round numbers like 90 x 120. This woman seems to have moved on, but next time I'll have something to ask.
Thanks! |

Ridiculous.....Moi!!
It may be riduculous, but I can assure you it's true.
Search the internet and you'll find things like this: http://www.dmcphoto.com/Articles/NIS/ http://forums.devshed.com/archive/t-116549 http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum10/5547.htm |
