CGEd Online is a distance learning, career, education portal site; a part of the site is a reference site to look information about online courses, online degrees, and colleges and universities. A part of the site is a forum and we are in the process of building a community.

Accessibility and usability are very very important. Navigation is very important as well; something like sitemap http://www.ooen.net/portal/sitemap/ is an important part of the site. I'd appreciate any comment, suggestion, but it would be great if I can get some input on accessibility and usability, and of course SEO.

Very professionally designed and fitting to the target audience.

One SEO thing I noticed (or didn't notice) is that the title of the page doesn't appear to be anywhere on the page... in terms of search results that can be important... especially when combined with h1 tag (I may have missed it?)

have title, right under the navigation bar, but .. pages like

have no title(though you should find text that looks like title), and you are right; it is an important point while I try to optimize the site for search engines. I did address the problem and put h1 tag(in code I am developing locally). I am still testing, but I should be able to make an update and upload the latest version this weekend; hopefully, the site will get higher rankings in search engines.

Checked your site & it looks fine.
A few suggestions:
1. Why have so much empty space (right on top) in the HTML code on home page?
2. Why not get all the styles defined in the stylesheet itself...it saves the filesize


The page content (not the title or meta tags)starts with "cgedonline.gif". The ALT tag for this is very handy for SEO purpose...can be used more effectively if you place your target keyword than just "CGEd" (unless this is the target keyword).
Rest looks ok.

Designing advise:
Well..this is totally my personal opinion...
[so long I shared professional opinion ;) ]
I don't like mixed fonts (I see that you have used Verdana as well as Arial).
It kind of hurts eyes.

This is a good question; I actually don't know why yet. I need to review the code again to see why this is happening.
