Please review our site

http://www.microstar.net

We have been on the net for about 9 years and it seems the only way to get high ranking with google is to pay for their adwords, we have 'sell computers' ,'sell hardware' and a few others on adwords that put us on top, however for the past 6 months we have been trying to get 'used computers' and used 'laptops' (without using adwords) but it's been impossible to get higher than 100, we have a PR of 5/10, any suggestion?

Thank You
Ray

Hi. I looked at a few of the sites that link to you, and i noticed two things. 1) Of the ones I looked at, they link to micro-star.com, rather than microstar.net. Don't know if this affects the ranking or not, but it might. 2) Of the ones I looked at, the text of the links doesn't mention Used Computers or Used Laptops. I would suggest when you get a link from another site, you try to make sure they use the keywords you are targeting as the link text.

I also didn't find your site in DMOZ. I would suggest trying your hardest to get your site listed in DMOZ in the used computer category. That alone might leapfrog you in the rankings.

Just some thoughts... Good luck.

Posted to Dmoz last week

Thanks, We posted to both open directories to dmoz and google last week, hoping that would help, we've had micro-star.com for 9 years, when we aquired microstar.net we decided the full name without the dash would be easier for people to remember. At the moment, we have micro-star.com as a mirror image to microstar.net.

I submitted microstarcomp.com for you already Ray, I'm just waiting for conformation. We are still waiting for this damn Google dance to get sorted out so we can get your new site listed.

Microstarcomp

Thanks SEO, yes, I'm still waiting for your campaign to kick in, by the way if anyone has an ideas about this particular technique another SEO is doing for us, log onto www.computer-liquidator-resources.com, he put about 200,000 links on a page, and we're also waiting for google to do a deepcrawl.

You sent me a link to that page before. I think It is going to be banned for link farming but I may be wrong. There is absolutely no content and having more than 50 links per page is always a bad idea.
Just my 2 cents
And what do you mean another SEO company
Just kidding, I love competition
