Please review my site
Okay, the site is still being worked on, but the basic layout is there. I will be making some changes, but I wanted to see what other people think. The site is www.mechanicquest.com It is a site that lets people search for an auto mechanic and read reviews. If you look at the search you will see some mechanics, but they are not real, just tests that we ran to see the look of it. We will be charging mechanics and service station to advertise on the site.I will be adding associate programs to the site as well. Thanks for looking and your input.

Well if you are looking for seo advice then i would suggest the following...
You need to pull out as much non-content from the code. Place all your css in an external file. The same can be done for your javascript. Try not to start a session unless absolutely necessary. Some bots don't like them. Looks a great site! Nice resource! |

Design-related... Find the mechanic1.jpg picture's original (i.e. non-jpg) version, and make it into a 256 or - better still - 16 color PNG (level 9 compression) instead. It should be just as small as this one, but without the "jaggies" around the edges... That will put it on par with the other pics...
Also - regarding SEO - you should have as least a couple of header tags (H1, H2) containing your major keywords (preferably in a nice and short sentence). This can help your ranking on the serps a bit. Try to blend some in, without compromising the main look of the home page. |
