The forum has been up for a little more than a month and I was wondering if I could get a general review of it?

My goals: to make it simple (not graphically intense) and to the point.

I think you've reached your goals of making it simple and ungraphically intense. I especially took kindly to your logo and colors. Quite nicely done.

Your forums though, as suggested in similar threads, might be wisely reduced to a smaller amount of sections until more popularity is gained. Seems like you have a few more populated ones than others, and an entire forum for rules which I think to be unnecessary aswell.

SEO:
You need an h1 tag on your front page
Title needs to be descriptive
Use mod_rewrite to hide your querystrings
Not that important to google, but your missing meta title and meta description

Layout:
Your main logo should be linked back to the homepage since users have been accustomed to this practice

yeah pretty well done. a bit too grey though. maybe ad a bit more flavorful color highlights.
