It's an advertising site, I guess. Placement seems pretty good in Yahoo, MSN but Google seems to be ignoring me pretty completely (sob).

My aim has been to (try to) up relevant searched on pges for my site, and leave the home page reasonably general, probably prioritising 'psychotherapy sheffield'.

Feedback on the general look of the site, but partic. seo feedback would be v. helpful.
And I know I've got trouble re. backlinks - I'm working on it.....

After 30 seconds of looking at those weird looking blue letters my eyes started to loose focus.

You should use normal fonts. Why the blue??

I would add a directions page that referenced directions from various other nearby communities. Once you start getting optimized with backlinks not only will you show up for psychotherapy sheffield but you will show up for psychotherapy for other nearby towns. that will increase local traffic.

That light blue does not show well against the white background in my opinion.

Oh. I kinda like the blue - think it's 'cos I did the logo first, then the colours followed.

Dave, do you mean the light 'visited' links, or the pre-visited.....

Maybe if you used a darker blue it would look better against the white.

OK. I give in. a darker blue it is. Fortunately the whole site uses css. I'll change it today!
You'll know I've done it, 'cos I'll put a link to seochat on the front page.

Nice Site, aswab.
The best thing is that it is simple, and there aren't many fancy graphics.

The only tip i can give is to start getting as much links as you can. Your site has only a PR1. You can start by exchanging links with sites of similar interest.
Also, don't forget to submit your sites to the famous directories DMOZ, Gimpsy,....

I don't like the blue font at all, I think black font is the king.

Anyway, it looks like you have to do a lot of work on your design. To me your site looks like a first draft, not like a fully designed site.

The darker blue is a lot easier to read now.

For a bit of SEO, make use of H1, H2 for your headings and subheadings. You can use CSS to change the style.
