New to this - how am I doing?

Hi All,

The site I am working on is http://www.deltacrypt.com/
I am trying to optimize the site with "encryption software" we are presently ranked at #34 in google using that keyword.

My question is am I doing ok? I am working on getting outside links, is there anything else I should do or change?

All feedback - good or bad is welcome...

Hi, these things might help you:

1. In the section at the bottom of your home page called 'Online Store' make the text 'encryption software' a hyperlink. Hyperlinks that contain keyphrases help the page they are on and the page they link to since it suggests to spiders that the page linked to is about the key phrase and they raise it for that reason.

2. In the title of your home page switch the text arround so that encryption software comes at the start of the tag - the first two words win more points in the title tag.

3. Change the first two words of your meta description tag to 'encryption software' (obviously won't help Google but other search engines that look at this tag).

4. Take all the Dreamweaver image swap script out of the home page and place it in an external .js file instead - making it as easy as possible for spiders to find and crawl your 'real' content.

5. Rename the image degradebg1.gif - encryption-software.gif. Google has an image search tool which if you do well in directly impacts on the standard text search as you're more popular in Google.

6. Add a range of text links at the bottom of the home page to deep content, but make the text links contain good relevant keyphrases.
