New Free SEO tutorial comments on content would be much appreciated

Hello all, I an jsut in the process of writing a free tutorial to address in a little more depth some of the basic SEO principals covered quite often in this forum as well and expand on the sticky for must use SEO tips posted at the top of this topic.

I would appreciate any and all comments on the content and for now we can disregard design as once all pages are satisfactory then I will pretty it up. Also whatya think of my monkey? Go to the site you'll know what I'm talking about

Very cool tutorial - I must be getting old though, those light grey links on the white background were a bit hard to read at times... that's about the only criticism I can come up with though ;)

Maybe in the section about off-page links, you could mention the major directories (DMOZ, Yahoo) as the first place to start getting links to your site... that's always an important first (and basic) step for a new site.

Like you said, it's stuff that's available in most other basic seo tutorials out there, but it covers a lot, and reads well - should be a very useful starting place for those starting out.

Thanks guys I should have been more clear on what I wanted though, any suggestions on topics you would like to see covered in detail or anything you think I have missed. It is targeted towards novices so I am not goign to give away all trade secrets but I really want to have a great place to refer people to for free where they can get all of their information in one easy to undrestand site

I think this is exactly how it should have been- short and snappy. Being succinct is the key to have everyone read the text, since everyone is in a hurry. Yet, I think pagerank calculation and the factors determining/affecting pr should have been elaborated a bit more. I would read every word of it no matter hoe long-winded it is.
And you can always exclude the 'trade secrets'.

lol, A detailed look into pagerank and how to use it is in hte works however as I am rather addicted to pagerank calculaion scenarios this one is going to take a longer time, however I promise it will be worth it.
