I like the original better. Mind you, that may be a dutch thing: in general we tend to prefer clean lines and lack of "embellishments". See also various Mondriaan pictures ;) Either menu style is nice though.

Ok, me and my wife never agree to page design. Almost NEVER. Kinda frustrating.

With that said, I like the old one better because it blends in with the site colors and looks clean.

However, my wife likes your new one better. She says because it is spread out on the page, it seems to fit better, look better, and have a better feel to it.

So, there you go, the difference between a man and woman.

I am actually having my wife develop my next site and see how it does. As much as I will hate it, I'd like to see if I generate more female traffic because of her design.

Ha that's funny about you and your wife.

Here are the reasons I think I'm going to keep the new design. First off, I no longer am using graphics for the entire buttons, so the page load time is cut down. Also, there is no longer tons of javascript cluttering my html pages. I think it looks more professional also.

Guess i'm gonna have to side with your wife hahaha.

I usually like design that is clean/simple too, but for whatever reason, I like your new design better. I think it has something to do with the size of the text on the old one.

Like the site. Try more neurosensitive colors. Reds and yellows draw in the eyes.
