onpage optimization - The factors contained within a Web Page that effect it's position in the SERP. A process of site / content enhancement as part of SEO procedures.

i am still a little lost, i have not yet heard anyone discuss on and off page optimisation

If you have entered in the SEO field and still not heard of on page optimization and off-page optimization, then i am sorry to say mate, you are still way back from the point where SEO starts!! You've skipped the basics mate!

I wouldn't go that far, i probably know of it but am not up to date with the terminology.

If you had said that off page optimisation is basically building up links then i would have understood and that on page optimisation is everything else i.e. content, navigation, keyword density, meta and desc tags then i would have understood a little more clearer....

I am not questioning your abilities mate. Its just an advice and its expected to pick up as much info as you can on these 2 broad categories of SEO before you start anything remotely related to SEO:

-on page

-off page

Sart building links

I've taken a look at your back links and your only showing two. So my advice is start building links to your site. i.e directories and writing articles etc.
