Tested in Mozilla 800x600 56k modem. Loads reasonably fast. Looks nice and professional. I presume this is a UK only site so you might want to make that clear. Nice design though. Good luck with it.

Some of the text is hard to read, like the grey in the right column.
You should add alt text to all your images. The "Agency Services" - it isn't clear that they are links. You should leave them underlined. Other than that, a nice looking site. |

One of the better ones...
One of the nicer looking sites I've seen so far! Good work. The navigation is nice and clear. There is A LOT of navigation, but it appears that only the most important links are availible up-front. However, according to Egol you might get a higher PageRank if you split these sections up a bit and don't have them all linking off of the main page. It might be a toss up, because it looks like all of the navigation on the Index NEEDS to be there.
Well, all except for the sitemap! (See related thread from yesterday about sitemaps...) Kudos on the nice rollovers at the top. As far as marketing, I personally would change the first header of the index page. Right now, it doesn't really have a clear first read, meaning that when I scanned the page for headlines, I couldn't figure out what the site was about. And then I noticed the second line, which would make a perfect heading in bold, larger font: "Dramatically increase the money in your pocket from your freelance and contract work!" So now, I know exactly what the website is about from the first line. Then, in the next line, mention the fact that this page deals specifically with people who are affected by an I-35. ALSO, you might consider making the "Request an Information Pack" much more prominent on the page, maybe even before the headline? My suggestion for this feature, if you might consider: create a "resource box" for this text (a different color background with the text inside) but keep it right where it is on the page. Maybe a light-blue background behind the "Request an Information Pack" paragraph. Hope you don't mind, those would be my "tweaks", but of course you have a good looking page already so these tweaks might not be necessary. Let me know what you think.

No problem. I actually thought of another suggestion last night: in that resource box where there is the link to "request an information pack", I would simplify it and add the form to the front page, like so: Request a free information pack - enter your first name and e-mail address below, and we will rush the complete guide to your e-mail box immediately! Name: E-mail: That way they don't have to go far to request more information. You will probably collect a lot more e-mail addresses this way, so make sure to hook it up to an automated mail system (autoresponder) so the customer gets a reply immediately. My only comments for the news site: the links seem to blend in and aren't very prominent, I'd suggest putting the line underneath them and then taking the line away when the person hovers over it, because everyone knows that underlined text is usually a link. This is the opposite of how it is now. |
