is it kosher?

I have a competitor site that continually ranks on the top pages on google for very competitve terms. Her methods defy conventional wisdom and there appears to be no evidence of 'questionable techniques... like cloaking, etc.

I have aesked on the forum at other locations how her unorthodox tags deliver such high rankings. No one has a clue.

Is it kosher for me to ask for a site review of somebody elses high ranking site?

Don't want to overstep boundaries. But I do believe it would be instructive... based on the quizzical responses to date.

My competitor's main site is: www.hiking.com

She also owns a number of other sites, including: www.naturaldoc.com, www.weight-loss-spa.com, www.spacuisine.com, www.mountaintrek.com ..perhaps others.

She continues to rank on page 1 or 2 Google (but typically on page 1, at the top for the competitor terms: weight loss program, health spa, health spas, fitness spa - which are the keyword phrases of particular interest. Over the years, she has been able to dominant any position she wishes to take..She has always been very effective at getting very high rankings rather quickly.

There is no evidence of cloaking or doorway pages, based on a review of another high level SEO person.

On particular interest is her tags... which defy conventional wisdom....

If you look at the tags... you will see a very large narrative for her meta description tag... a bloated title tag, etc. She has very little copy on her homepage... and the other pages on her site do not contain any meta description tags.. but only the SAME title tag throughout.

The order of her tags are also unique... with meta-descriiption first, metatags second, and title tag last... don't know if this matters?

She has a PR 5 for www.hiking.com.

NO one has been able to explain the basis for her high rankings.... in view of the lengthy tags or how she is achieving her great success.

Can anyone share some insights on what she does that makes her so effective?? Note...her success with her high rankings on these keywords occur for very competitive terms.

The hiking site has a load of backlinks, which is probably helping the high rankings.

Yes... I agree . She has alots of tags. So do I and nd alot of other sites.

I suspect that there is something in the meta description and title tags... does anyody see something in the text, word count, tags, etc??

This site has a pr5.... so do most of the sites listed... including those of pages 3,4,5, in the google rank.
