I've come a long way - now I need it reviewed!
Greetings all,
I'm new to this board and this is my first post. I own, manage and SEO http://www.impostercity.com and have been doing it for about 10-11 months. I have many competitors with similar sites, but on google, I breat them all in terms of who comes up first on the important keywords. I've studied my visitors, learned where they are coming from and what keywords they are using, so I guess up to this point, I may be doing something right. Now I guess it's up to you to judge. http://www.impostercity.com Thanks, Will |

I think it's a great idea for a site.
Here's a suggestion: The sunglasses that you are imitating are expensive. Notice that the prices for the genuine name brand glasses (Oakley comes to mind) are often very small. You are not going to see "Oakleys on sale only $239.99!" The average sunglasses shopper often searches sites and then is let down by the final price. Be up front about your prices on your home page and hook your customers in from the get-go! Your Mission statement and the Compare To section are loaded with keywords, but to your visitors, it's just a bunch of boring words. Move those sections down, and put a popular product with a great price there instead. Your advantage is your prices. Exploit it!! Dusty - Eyeing the Natrix glasses to replace the ones I lost |

Great idea!! However, don't you think that putting products before words would only tell the Search Engines (mainly google) that thoes words are less important considering they are lower on the page?
Thanks for the reply and the suggestions, keep up comin. |

In this case, I would put the product first. You have keyword saturation already. Here's what Web Position says on your site if you critique for "imposter sunglasses" for Google:
A keyword frequency of 1 is suggested for the Title area. Your frequency is 1.5 right now so you might consider decreasing your Keyword count in the Title. (You have sunglasses twice in your title) A keyword frequency from 1 to 3 is suggested for the Link Text area. Your frequency is 5.5 right now so you might consider decreasing your Keyword count in the Link Text. A keyword frequency from 1 to 5 is suggested for the Hyperlink Url area. Your frequency is 22.0 right now so you might consider decreasing your Keyword count in the Hyperlink Url. A keyword frequency from 1 to 9 is suggested for the Body Text area. Your frequency is 32.0 right now so you might consider decreasing your Keyword count in the Body Text. A word count from 245 to 402 is suggested for the Body Text area. Your word count is 473 right now so you might consider decreasing your word count in the Body Text. A total frequency from 4 to 18 is suggested for the page as a whole. Your total frequency is 120 now, so you might consider decreasing your frequency count. A total word count from 259 to 543 is suggested for the page as a whole. Your total word count is 1071 now, so you might consider decreasing your word count. Can't argue too much though because you do well on google. Also... with Froogle coming into the mainstream soon, pricing is going to be essential. Do lots of test searches in Froogle, and see what is coming up and how. Get your titles, descriptions, and pricing all lined up. Check your link on "nike sunglasses cheap" |
