This is a new site which we launched only yesterday but I'd be grateful for feedback on it.

http://www.uktraveloffers.com

The purpose of the site is to create a useful and popular resource for anyone interested in travelling in the UK. In order to be successful, I think we need to get a very healthy level of traffic so that we have a steady stream of offers being submitted, offers being voted on, and so on.

It is a free service to the people who use it, and to any hoteliers and other people win the travel industry who happen to want to submit offers to it. We will just be hoping for a knock-on effect for our other sites which are linked to along the top.

Thanks for any feedback, whether it be on the appearance, the idea, the content or whatever...

Great information is provided on the site.
The logo is simple and decent.
The combination of colors, font selection needs to be improved.
You could have something on the left of the page to improve the decency of the page.
A search box is perhaps missing. You could include it to help the users to retrieve the information they needed.

Hope my review helps you in a better way.

I design websites and my philosophy is KISS, but I feel overall your site is just too simple and looks unprofessional. Red and green are both colors that pop, so you need to use one or the other instead of having them compete.

1. It is standard design to have the logo on the top, left, no big deal on the right, but it should link back to the home page as part of the overall navigation.

2. I got confused by the top row of nav taking me off the site and I couldn't get back without using back button. The back button should never be part of your navigation.

3. Suggest you add a color to the background of the right column so that it stands out more as a column and helps direct the eye down the column.

4. Too many icons on the right, and mixed up. Put all the bookmark ones together and the ones that relate to your site(s) together.

5. Definitely needs a search box.

My $.02

The colors aren't right at all. At least most of the text ought to be black and the green and red used judiciously. I guess to each his own.
