http://www.targetwoman.com - Women directory
I would be grateful to anyone who could take the time to check out on our spanking new website - TargetWoman and tell me any suggestions, criticism, appreciation (hardly) and plain comments. This site is a directory (the listings database is not yet accessible for the public at the moment) with many well-researched contents " of lasting value" which will appeal primarily to women. We have taken care to ensure that all age group of women will have something of interest in this site. We are adding articles all the time, so if one link doesn't take you anywhere except to a custom error page, be assured that it will be there as soon as we get the articles done.
Thanks for any feedback. Try this new technique my partner conjured up too: http://www.targetwoman.com/search/t...g-you-want-here This search returns relevant articles using a Logical Progression Analyzer. Last edited by Targetwoman : June 22nd, 2004 at 12:30 PM. Reason: For added clarity |

Your logo is a bit scary, like something from a Terminator movie and IMO not very inviting.
The logo placement pushes all your text way out to the right which will mean lots of scrolling for a 640x480 user. There is no content to the homepage, just your directory, I think you need to make the site more interesting to make people click through any further. Jasper |

Thanks for the feedback. I will work on the logo to make it less threatening. Looks like our home page requires some remodelling too.
How about some feedback on the content? We have some very professional writers who labor to produce these articles. They tend to write lengthy articles of around 1000 words - ideal for print media - but a bit lengthy for websites ? |

I could write 5 pages about improvements you can do with your site, but I'll drop just a few notes.
Add Url link on the bottom of the home page connects to the separator, and other 2 links don't. You need to work a lot on your design and bringing the things in right order, alignment, text placement, logo placement, logo design etc ... Maybe you can add search option. A little bit too many pictures for a directory site, it slows it down, pictures are quite big. ajdee |

I agree about that logo, I wouldn't use it, imo.
I read a few of the articles, very good writing, very informative, and I didn't think they were too long. However, your home page makes it seem like a chore to find the articles. If I had surfed in, I probably would leave without trying to check out the content. How about putting a few links on the start page, showcasing a different article/topic each week? |

Thanks again
We appreciate the feedback and our content team is very happy to read the postive feedback about their hard work. We will redesign the logo shortly to be less scary. We have added the link to the Logical Progression Analyzer to the index page to save the time and hassle of searching for the content.
Thanks again. |

Targetwoman in sight
We have added the directory listing along with more articles. We keep adding tens of articles every week. I would like to have some feedback on the Natural Language Navigation system we have introduced in this site.
Thanks for any feedback, |

Good Start
You need to increase the white space around the text it is to close to the edge of the screen and other pictures. Very easy CSS implantation of this formatting.
Your font should be changed to a serif. It is hard to read long articles in Times Roman or Aerial. This are more for Headings and list anything outside a paragraph. I personally like Sans Serif for long articles because almost if not everyone has it and it is easy to read. I would also put my nav links at the bottom of the page as well. Because guess where everyone is going to end up at. You need to add a text home link as well. On the home page I would add a section for like a hot issue of the week for women. Not the hole think but put part of an article on the home page that will grab your attention and bring you in. 200,000 women die of breast implants True or False, you decide. Pictures are nice if not a little large. You may want to consider shrinking them and placing them through out the text instead of to the side though they are looking good where they are. The pictures give your site a professional look. The navigation is difficult until you get used to it. I can not stress enough how important it is for you to increase the border around your text. It is making the site look cluttered. In general it is a good looking site. Thanks Arthur |

Excellent Review
We really appreciate the review and we are grateful for the suggestions.
We are still working on the layout and the design. Right now my partner Samanta is busy driving the content team hard for the articles and polishing them. I have to get the design, layout and scripts ready before she turns her attention to this side. ;) Thanks again Arthur, Tiffany Last edited by Targetwoman : July 11th, 2004 at 02:54 AM.
