I went live with this one about 10 days ago and still didn't get spidered by google.

Is it usual to take that long? Or am i doing something wrong?

Do you have links to it? Get a few links to it from sites that you know are indexed by Google and G will follow those links to your site and index it. If the links you get are on pages that googlebot spiders often, then it will find your link more quickly - and hence, find your site more quickly.
