Hi everyone and thanks for any tips you can give. I'm brand new to the forum and I've been trying to read everything and absorb as much as I can. I've read Donna's 1000th post and have learned a lot!

I would like a general review for SEO purposes on anything you have time to look at and any advice you can give me. We've been operating for going on 3 years and this past year has been a little rough because of so many changes on Google. When I started I thought I knew a lot of the tricks but while I got busy running the store everything changed and now I'm being killed with PPC costs.

I see that one thing I should try to do is change my page names from just a model number to a descriptive item for example instead of http://www.cjhomeandoffice.com/1234.html I should have something like http://www.cjhomeandoffice.com/computer-desk.html.

I'm trying to figure out how to do that without a complete rebuild of my site, but I may end up doing that. I have a Yahoo store and I can't change the names without rebuilding. I'm trying to decide if it's worth all the item specific traffic temporarily being redirected to my home page.

Thanks in advance for any and all tips, I appreciate it so much!

I'm glad you agree. I'm in the midst of doing that right now. Thanks!
