I have a new subdomain, http://directory.wineography.com , and it is basically a seperate site from the main one.

I have used a mod_rewrite for this directory, but I was wandering if the URL in some cases was too long? How long is too long?

Are there any other areas that could be improved on in the SEO department?

Design wise you've done a nice job. Although it's hard to see your sections when not rolled over them.

Second, making your items a little more tightly spaced would make removing the scrollbar possible.
