http://analogik.com
Hi guys!
Is http://analogik.com overoptimised or doing something wrong? Why would a site like this be scroogled? (site like this - meaning: credible information resource) Search words: electronic music Before: Ranging 20-30 in SERP Current state: off the charts Thanks to all who have a look! http://analogik.com |

Nobody really know's what's up with Google's filtering so everything's speculation.
Couple things, I noticed your site was #1 for 'analogik' so that's good. It was also #1 for 'electronic music division'. But for some reason, it's filtered out for 'electronic music'. I think google is definitely looking at the source of the keyword anchor text link now. If a site that is linking to you is considered 'spammy' or if you have too many 'spam' links then perhaps it will discount them. I noticed you have a link from your design company to your website and you crosslink with a footer at the bottom of your page. Who knows, maybe google thinks your web design site is spammy and filters out your anchor text from your site. But that doesn't make much sense since you're still #1 for 'electronic music division'. But then nobody really targets that three word keyword. It's all speculation of course. My advice is to try to get as many DIVERSE links from different sources with your keyword 'electronic music' as possible. If there are too many links from just one source (such as from your web design site) then I noticed google doesn't like them anymore. Notice your 'Web Design Brisbane' is also filtered out for your site at scroogle? Notice what those two have in common? They both have footer links on your pages coming from one source. |

It seems to be only fpr particular words... for example "multimedia brisbane" hasn't been filtered and "electronic music brisbane" either...?! If google didn't like me linking to my own sites one would expect that it would punish me for doing so for all the keywords involved. The situation is really confusing.
I'll try removing references or changing the anchor text naming in my links from my web design site. It's funny - Google is dictating us what to do and we obey like good children. |

Looks pretty good to me. I would perhaps optimize for specific keywords in the title. Good use of ALT tags. Seem to have good link popularity. Have you got the site in more niche search engines specific to australia and music. Nice design. Good luck with it.

all I want people to find me for is "electronic music" and eventually "multimedia" at least as a (respectively) 20th and 100th result for now.
Currently I'm being filtered out. As if I did something wrong.... I did some changes though, and are waiting to see if there are any improvements. I've noticed scroogle results fluctuating recently that could be a good sign (sice anything is better from where I am now - and that is - NOWHERE) Thanks for the comments! |
