How is this site always top3?
I've noticed that this one site, http://www.mortgages-online.co.uk, has consistently been in the top 3 for quite a few months on Google.co.uk for a UK search using the term "mortgages".
The site only has 10 backlinks, and not a lot of content and appears to use frames - so how do they do it?????? Lyndon |

I believe the .co.uk tld is a boost. I see that for my german tld that as signific<nt for german language searches for my own domain (.de tld). also the incominglinks are from different domains and not as common many from the same domains. Keyword in domain of couse factors in as does most likely links from pages that arent shown in the google backward link check.
TLD is playing a ranking role for language specific searches right now. hence I'm annoyed I didnt split my site up by having a a .com tld for my english pages. At the time best advice was to keep multiple languages on the same domain though. Another example of how things change. Alan |

I think its tld and location of where you search. They use ip I believe for adwords so it stands to reason they can easily filter the results as well.
I need to do some more research though to be able to give an answer to the language/location filtering. Alan |

My pet project at the moment is a .co.uk - I recently moved it from a US based host to a UK one and saw no difference in SERPS really, though it is hard to say definitively as the top 15-20 sites for my keyterms seem to change on an hourly basis (which is really frustrating)
