Here's a typical link farm site!
Here is a good example of a site that generates phony and useless "links" pages that would never be accessed by a real human being.
http://www.shoppingahead.com/
I wonder what percentage of the Internet now consists of such bogus sites as this one, which exist solely to game Google.
Notice that they have a page rank of 2 on their home page. As bogus as this site may be, I find that the pages it generates actually do show up in the Google index.
I wonder if machine-generated pages are someday going to overwhelm the ability of any search engine to keep them all indexed.
Eventually, search engines are going to have to figure out ways to detect and exclude this kind of site. This one isn't even very sophisticated.
