Google is ignoring one of my clients

I have been submitting for one of my clients for a year now - www.guptaworldwide.com. For about six months they had a mirror server hosting their site under a different domain name www.centurasoft.com. For the last six months they are simply redirecting those that visit their old site centurasoft to guptaworldwide.com

My question is that they are doing great in every other search engine with the exception of Google. When you type in "Gupta" they don't even show up!

They recently started running a banner in Google, but it has been three weeks now and this hasn't helped.

I am not spamming the engines - 5 URLs per day M-F, they don't have any hidden text or any of the other things that search engines don't like on their site. I just can't understand why after 1 year, they are still not showing up in Google, when they are doing so well in all of the other engines.

They also have a sizable number of links back to guptaworldwide.com.

I have never had a problem like this with any of my other clients.

Any insight would be appreciated.

its there, its just not ranking well in the serps. if you do a search for Gupta Technologies it comes in at number 35. its got a PR6 and 292 backlinks. at first glance though, almost none of the backlinks use Gupta in the link text, so that could be one problem. as for anything else, i think you just need to start at the beginning and concentrate on fully optimizing the site for your keywords. the home page source seems to be cluttered with non-keyword oriented stuff. just my thoughts...

Unfortunately, I have told the client time and time again to optimize all of their pages, but I go unheard. And since I don't manage their site, I can't make the NEEDED changes for them.

I appreciate your reply and will pass this info on to the client - "Hate to say I told you so......."

the loading time is quite long try, to squize the image file size and try to use less images. A wonderful program from xat.com might help.

I know this Prog. but better do it by Hand with Photoshop - it gives much better results.
