don't get it

Hi all...in early December I started the page:

http://www.commodity-trading-software.com/

The page was only visited by googlebot once and the listing never appeared in search results. I have quite a few backlinks as well as a dmoz listing.

For fun, I started another little site:

http:www.futures-trading-curves.com/

and it was completely indexed within 2 days with 1 backlink.

Does anyone see something wrong with the commodity trading software site?

I do believe the domain was active at some time before I purchased it. Could this be a factor?

Thanks,
Frank

The robots.txt file and your meta tags look fine, and your site has been well indexed by MSN beta, even Yahoo has indexed your home page and that's always a hit and miss affair.
All I can suggest is building more backlinks - the Yahoo link command shows 80-odd, which should be enough to get indexed, but you can always use more.

You could also try installing the Google toolbar in IE and then surfing your site - that sends info to Google about each page you visit, and I've seen private test pages, with no links at all, indexed after I've visited it with the toolbar installed.

If you're really desperate you could try downloading the Opera browser and surfing your site with that. It shows GoogleAds so will bring the MediaBot to your site, though GoogleBot itself may not follow.

Good luck

John

I don't think showing gray in the Google bar PR necessarily means you're banned. This probably is due to the fact that your site is not indexed yet.
