Destination Malta

http://www.destinationmalta.com

This website used to have PR 6 for couple of years and used to appear in first few results when looking for most things related to Malta. About 2 years ago, PR dropped to 0 and the few remaining pages in Google were all tagged as supplemental. I understand that website was penalized by Google and therefore banned for some reason.

In the meantime started to use Google's Webmaster Tools, set preferred homepage as the www-version, removed any links I had on other my own websites, any hidden text or duplicate pages, hoping my site will be correctly indexed again.

Last December I filed a re-inclusion request. By the end of January I noticed that my homepage is being indexed once again and since then like 7 pages a week are being added, checking site:www.destinationmalta.com.

Do you think Google has actually removed the ban and this website is slowly being indexed again? Pagerank is still 0 though, but will that take more time to refresh? Hmm, any comments at this stage will be more then welcome.

Your site is indexed, atleast a good part of it so it isn't currently banned. If you removed everything that was shady there is no reason for Google to lift the ban and then penalize you so I believe your fine.

You need to do a 301 redirect from http:// > www. for starters. Also you have a predicted PR of 3 at the next update so you appear to be gaining lost ground.
http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_prediction?domain=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.destin ationmalta.com%0D%0Adestinationmalta.com%0D%0A

You appear to have about 55 supplemental pages:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=GGGL%2CGGGL%3A2006-30%2CGGGL%3Aen&q=+site%3Adestinationmalta.com+***+-supp%22&btnG=Search

A suggestion on getting these out of the supp index is providing more content on these pages, information related to those topics, create a html sitemap with those pages listed and list a few on the home page if they aren't already. If you build a few good links to these internal pages they will come out, however this may be hard with the kind of content you have right now so again try and write longer articles. This will help a great deal. Your page structure looks good....

Good luck with the site!

Thanks for your reply, really appreciated.

Regarding the 301 redirect from http:// > www. It was among the first things I tried to do when this site was originally "banned". Unfortunately my website is hosted on a Zeus Server and that leads to many complications. I managed to get the rewrite rule from Zeus Support but my hosting company refuses to make the alterations in their global ZWS virtual server config. Their reply was "Our config is perfect, Google is at fault"!

I then used Google's Webmaster Tool to set my preferred homepage to read: http://www.etc. Bah, I know it's not exactly the same thing, but hoped it will be enough.

You don't change the global config of the server. You have complete ftp access correct? You should then be able to login and find the .htaccess file and edit. Any host who doesn't allow this must be quite backward
