Could I be Penalized?
I currently run two e-commerce sites - www.xoxide.com and www.mustangtuning.com
In an attempt to increase PR I added a link on www.xoxide.com to www.mustangtuning.com (at the bottom). However I listed it on all 1200 pages of Xoxide. Is this something I could be penalized for? We do a decent portion of business through google and can't have Xoxide being penalized. Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance for you help. |

If you can't have it penalized than I'd suggest you remove those links especially since both sites are completely unrelated. Submit to some directories. Google is cracking down on crosslinking and 1200 crosslinked pages will definitely not help. |

You ask two questions.

No, this would not hurt your rankings. Quote:
It is a violation of the quality guidelines, and hopefully you would not benefit from this scheme in the long run. If you are ok with a small risk of a future penalty go ahead. |

[this question belongs in 'google page rank' section.]

Actually it's about crosslinking to increase PR BUT the question is if crosslinking will get a site penalized. So I think it belongs here zooly |
