Content or Eye Candy - What's best?

Ive just finished playing around with my site. Im reasonably happy with it (although there's loads more to add when I have the time). I have concentrated on content over visual appearance though. Although I am a web designer I'm no graphic designer! ;)

Does anyone have any recommendations for visual improvements?
The site address is http://www.rydertech.co.uk

And in general do you prefer something that has good content or is good looking? (I think the answer is a blend of both but hey we've all got an opinion everything right . . . .)

Thanks People!

Paul

Overall a very fine job, first thing i noticed or better not noticed were the links. if you don't underline them in a:link state then i wouldn't give them the same colour as normal text. some links are a little darker than normal text, some are not ... a little irritating.

If you have a little more budget get some nice photodisc stock images, but overall very fine job.

cheers,
alex

well, the homepage is the best example. in the left column of the main table (headline web design solutions) the links are light blue, as is the content text in the middle column. In the middle column the links are larger and darker than the content text. back to the left column, the white headlines are also links. in the bread crum trail the links are orange. the right column looks just like the left, but the text behind the arrows are no links.

so there are 4 different kinds of links ... shouldn't be more than 2 and they should be really obvious - one link colour is best of course.

hope that helps,
alex
