Hi everyone,
Happy 4th of July! I just had a site re-design done, (lords art dot com) let me know what you think. I was told that the coding was a little sloppy, don't know if that was on my end, or the designer, but he will check into it after the holiday. I'm also going to change the free shipping text to $300 after I get back from vacation (am leaving today). I was pleased that when Google cached the new site I was still #1 or #2 or "Christian Art" (Wikipedia takes #1 sometimes). Anyway, I have been working very hard on product development, and now that I'm off from my teaching job for the summer (which was a very challenging year, btw!) I will focus my efforts once again on SEO. I am hoping and having faith that my conversion rate will increase from the new site design. I want to thank all of you amazing people here who have helped me, I really don't know where I would be without the place! I look forward to your feedback, thanks again. Faith |

I am no expert, but found the site loaded fairly quickly and is easy to navigate. It might not display well down at the smallest screen sizes like 800px. You might want to check how many of your new visitors are still on screens that small?

Here is what I would suggest you look at changing
The header image is an image map. I would break this up into individual images for the navigation on the header section and use ALT attributes with keywords in for the links. The CSS code should be in an external file. There is a lot here that doesn't need to be. That wil also reduce bandwidth and make site navigation quicker. You have two meta keyword sections. Semantically correct code should only have one and I would suggest that you removed the meta keyword section altogether. Put embeded javascript code into an external javascript file for the same reasons as moving the CSS to an external file. The Google Analytics code should be just before the closing body tag to make sure it is reliable. |

All in all nice work on the site.
Along with what tstolber already pointed out you may want to consider. 1. Changing the Favicon to your own. 2. Do not link your 'Home' button to index.html but link it to lordsart.com/. Linking to the index.html can lead to duplicate content issues. 3. I did not see the use of h1 tags. You may want to add one. 4. On your cart pages your similar items item are way off to the right causing a scrollbar. You may want to consider moving them to under the item description. 5. A web form for questions and comments would be better than a mailto: 6. On your advertising.html. It is unclear if you will just put a banner or a banner with a clickable link. It would be unwise to add a link to the banners as that could be seen as selling links. |
