Hi Kat,
I like your baby blankies. Pretty cool. In fact, many of my users will likely need baby blankets in the next year or so but thats another story. This may seem a little arrogant but when I had my site developed I had to disregard the people using older versions of Netscape. As it turns out less than one percent of my visitors use netscape anyway and of those one percent only about five percent have upgraded to Netscape 6 while over sixety percent of those using IE have the most recent version. Last month out of 5457 visits to my site only 17 were using a Netscape browser. The way I see it is that if they are still using a browser that is over two years old they are probably still on a 28.8 dial-up and or don't know they can upgrade thier browser. I just didn't design my site for those users and I redirect them to a simple page suggesting they upgrade. Anyone agree or have I just offended half of rural america ? John |

We always try to make aour sites usable with netscape 4. It doesn't take that much effort when we are designing the site (mostly ensuring that there are images in empty table cells, and that we use a seperate style sheet for NN4 users) and means that the site is accessable to as many users as possible.
That said we have had built sites that while functional under Netscape 4, are easier to use with lynx! |

Lol, well my site has been online for a year now and I had two complaints from people who couldn't view it.Now, those are just the customers who took the time to contact me.I know it's not a huge part of my viewers, but on the other hand, as a small biz who's competitors are viewable in all browsers, I wanted it fixed
To be honest, only about 3-6% of my visitors are/were using N4.7.My site worked just fine in N6+, which is what I tested it in when I did the programming, and I was content w/that But for my peace of mind and the perfectionist in me, lol-I wanted the site cleaned up so it would work in N4+ Hey, send those customers my way, lol!!J/K, but thanks for the compliment |
