banned domain for duplicating content.

We created a second theme-site with a more apropiated domain for our content.
Everything was great, the new domain was crawled in aprox. 1 week and by the monent it has a PR2. But but we comited a big error duplicating the page content in both sites.
That's why the new domine was banned from the SERP and subtituted for the old page with the same content but unadecuated domain. After fixing this error erasing the whole old referenced in goole pages We wait our new domain not to be in any black list and to be able to re-add our new site.
Any information about this kind of penallizations and the best option to swap both pages in google in a minimum period?
Is that good to force the adding manually or we better wait the spider work by itself?

It has been pretty fast to swap the related domains:
Simply by redirecting the file pointed by google's SERP into the new domain.
It took one day after creating the redirection.
Now the new domain appears into search results.
