Random thoughts.......

just noticed that on breezecare, your middle menu is not centered properly. Other than that it all looks pretty good. I like the idea of putting the shopping links at top and the content at bottom, to push visitors to your shopping.
As long as you have sufficient copy at the top of the page, you'll be fine.

Do you really need the date on there? And in the middle of the page? If needed, id put it up top too.

That image is crying out for an alt tag .

all in all both websites look pretty good!

Thanks for the help. I thought I had an alt tag on the Breezecare site, but I obviously had left it off.

It is on now.

thanks :-D

the relaxzoolander ten ---

the relaxzoolander ten ---

1.
never use 'click here' as link text.
always utilize every link as a keyword oppotunity.

2.
is the 'blink-ittie-blink' traffic stats necessary?

3.
the header image [internal pages] alt tag text will have greater value if it is also linked back to the index page.

4.
pages like 'badbreathproducts.html' should be named 'bad-breath-products.html'.

5.
all of your page titles should include your product or company name in them. [breeze or breezecare]

6.
i would suggest acquiring more backlinks that are not from your own sites.

7.
i think your sites are nicely informative.

8.
i have a little problem with the colors used.
the product packaging uses an orange and a medium blue.
your text is more red and dark blue.
this inconsistency negatively affects your presentation.
then you come in with that gray table of links.
i would take all of your page and develop a much tighter integration of color and layout consistency.

9.
how about some images of 'real' people?
...or a photo of this 'doctor' that is quoted on the sites.
i also think you can...perhaps...add some humor to your approach with the addition of these images of people.
this might make people feel more comfortable with the whole topic.

10.
overall...i think these sites are highly informative and fairly well organized.
they receive an overall relaxzoolander review rating of оо.

Red face

Thanks Relax
Firstly I am that 'doctor'. So all the info is mine as well as the web site design. So I appreciate all the help I can get.

The 'blink-ittie-blink' traffic stats are necessary as the account is a free account.

If I rename pages like 'badbreathproducts.html' what happens if they are already listed in the search engines. won't the affect be adverse.

I haven't inlcuded my title in the pages as people viewing the pages are searching on generic terms for bad breath, rather than my specific product.

I am not sure how to get more backlinks from other sites.

I thought about changing colour schemes, but when I read the colour of the product bottles it wasn't a clean colour for reading, and I thought again that generic colour might be reproduced more consistently accross the range of computers that are out there.

I am thinking of putting either a weblog on the front page or some sort of chat group of one of the web sites. But I think it is out of my expertise.

FB ranks better (although not in Google anymore - we used to rank #6) than BC. I am thinking of turning BC into a corporate site with all the sales on it, and use FB more as it is. Maybe get a different slant on it.

I also currently have another PR5 site that is not being used.

What do you think.

Yep, Ive had to contend with it before. Try to do it at a time closest to when google does a deep crawl. This way your pages wont be out of the serps for long. Or you could try a permanent redirect.

Ask other websites! ( Email them nicely and offer a reciprocal link from one of your pages. Ask them to return the favour) Also make a note of your link strategy.
Try to have them link to a page that your link back is not on.
Give em a link from one of your internal pages, but if you can, have them link back to your index page, or other appropriate page.

I wouldnt bother. Your site is there to sell your product, why would you invite chat on there? Seems to me it would just be taking up your precious bandwidth.

Not have any content? or Just not updated?
If the former, Id put the content back up and give a link back to your new site. If its on another topic, it may be an easier topic to get backlinks from, you could possibly then feed your new site from the PR of the old one. (As long as you make the link related to your page somehow)
