I run a lyrics site (www.rare-lyrics.com) and its going pretty but none of us like to be second best... And for a particular phrase im targetting as an example (black eyed peas lyrics) im coming 41st best...

he PR of my page and the top result are both PR4..

Any experts have any tips for me? Ive done my best now I need them desperately...

WOW, your site is great, and although those figures you've shown above should be verging on 'spammy', the site isn't. I really think that you've done an excellent job for the user.

You've done everything you can on your site, from a SE point of view it has a great linking structure.

I did search on 'Black Eyed Peas Lyrics.'

Overall yours may be the better site but in this particular search the top site has more backlinks with the phrase 'Black Eyed Peas'. That is the only reason you are getting beaten. There is an additional cheapy site here...

Clever move, it's not a spam site, it's actually useful and it gives pages of the top site an additional anchor text link with his keyphrase. You could do the same

PS At first I though this site was connected with the top site in the SERPs but it isn't. Have you approached this guy for links?
