Arrow All Streaming Video Business Directory - Please Review & Advise.

Hi all,
We have recently launched www.Video4SanDiego.com

This is an all streaming video business directory and entertainment guide website for people who live in and visit san diego. The site is noteworthy for several reasons ( not the least of which is the amazing video quality & hundreds of videos )- my company has been producing streaming videos for business websites for years and this site is litterally years in the making. We are getting ready to submit it to the major engines and would love to have the benefit of any input all of you may have concerning ANY ASPECT of the site concerning how to make it better concerning rankings.

FYI The final alt tags are going in this weekend and individual page titles and discriptions will be tweeked and finalizied this weekend too. Also the navigation bar on the homepage is the final version and it will be replacing the navigation bars currently found on the sites various pages.

PS- For anyone who is interested there are video bio's for me on the "video 4 san diego behind the scenes" link on the navigation bar on the homepage.

PPS The site requires real player to view the videos and that is the only format we will use so suggestions to have quicktime or windows media player videos on the site will be of no help. Any other suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks VIDEO4

For me there were three main problem areas:

1. The black color scheme. Just was not very welcoming.

2. The lack of obvious navigation

3. The huge amount of text. Again this turned me off.

On the positive side I thought the content was good (and this is what is most important). You seem to have a lot of information and address a number of FAQ which I imagine the visitor might want to know. I think if you can make the navigation easier and change the site so that it's a bit more appealing to the eye, then you'll have something.

Hope this helps

Bluesuit

I agree, the homepage looks like a typical spam page full of laods of information, the homepage is what i think needs changing.

Actually no. I've just had another look and I found it - it says START HERE in green. Not spotting what sound like your main link is probably symptomatic of the issues I mentioned. Feel free to send me a message if you want me to review again in the future.

Regards
Bluesuit
