All advice/criticism greatly appreciated
Hi guys, if any of you have a spare couple of minutes, i'd appreciate your 2p on the following site:
www.allmountainholidays.com I am struggling to get good rankings for the keywords "ski chalets" and "ski holidays". My belief is that more specific searches (such as self catered apartment in Chamonix) should rank quite well once all the individual property pages get spidered. I am also planning to add in content for each resort. In the meantime is there anything glaringly obvious that I am doing wrong on the main html pages? I'm not sure whether I am a victim of sandbox/march filter in which perhaps it is just a waiting game. Once again, all advice greatly appreciated. Ed |

Hi Ed,
You might want to think a little more about your on page/on site optimalization. Try to use header tags, avoid links that point back to the current page, and try to add more content and edit your content to increase the keyword prominence of your targeded keywords. And as a visitor I get offended by pages like this one: http://www.allmountainholidays.com/SkiGuides/skiresort.aspx?ID=14&CID=1 I want to ski in Andorra, not advertise. I would remember this for a long time and perhaps never visit your website again. Have some links/information for your visitors or remove the pages. Your design is really nice and clean, and it was easy to read through your HTML code. Keep working and you will have a nice website :-)

Ed,
I LOVE the color scheme of your website. Very cool indeed. Even though this is not related to SEO, i can't understand how the search box on the top right is supposed to work. What is a property ref.?

Thanks for the feedback guys. The property ref is if someone knows which property they want to view, they can enter it and jump straight to that property rather than going through the search pages.

You also concentrate on quality inbound links with simple anchor text (your keyword with variations), this would help a great deal. Satya |

Made some changes....
OK, I have made some changes based on the advice given, and stuff read on this forum. Hopefully I haven't overdone it on the "ski chalets" term, but that is the one that I am really concentrating on.
Again, if anyone can spare a minute to give it a quick once over, I would appreciate some feedback. Re: backlinks - I add a few everyday. It is always on my list of things to do but the number should be growing on a daily basis. Thanks Ed |

Bumpity Bump
Just wanted to get this to the top to see if anyone has anyfeedback on the changes I made. To those who didn't see the site before, I'm basically after some topline feedback - make sure I'm moving in the right direction. Thanks in advance, Ed |
