1st post - ideas/help please

Thanks in advance for any ideas for me. Since mid-June I have not been able to get my homepage cached, new links updated etc.. Other pages on my site get indexed, but the home page does not and is by far the most important. Any ideas or thoughts would be very helpful since it is hurting biz alot. It's located at www.gotobaby.com

My most recent thought was could this be a possible reason?

Your robots.txt is fine. I have serveral sites since Mid-June which are in the same boat as yours. Patience is all that's needed now.

Thanks, but I was rising up the index until june & woosh...gone. If I look up gotobaby by itself in google there are lots of listings, but the full URL www.gotobaby.com is not found. confusing

Maybe being a dynamic site hurts me a bunch.

I do get your homepage listed on google with

site:gotobaby.com baby

Your main site comes up with gotobaby.com without www

Here is the search string link that I had used:

http://www.google.com/search?q=site...8&start=20&sa=N

Its there......

I've seen that, but the home page www.gotobaby.com is Not there from what i see & that is where incoming strong new links poin towards.

Where does that come up?

if you type it directly into google search bar you get not found?.?

allinurl:gotobaby.com gives you a listing for your homepage. You homepage is cached and in Google and your backlinks will be updated very soon as we are in the midst of an update as we speak. JKust be patient and continue to build content and backlinks

When you say you see my home page cached.. am I missing something because it seems that gotobaby.com is cached , but the full www.gotobaby.com which is the page with all the new links etc. pointing towards it and the one that used to be there is not found anywhere and that is my concern. Do you see the "www.gotobaby.com" as well cached or indexed anywhere or just the one wothout the www's . thank you once again!

If you want to use the search bar to find your links or sites that are listed use the site: or link: method to find your links that are listed.

example: site:gotobaby.com baby
or
example: link:gotobaby.com


If you want to find links through the search bar try typing in quotes:

"www.gotobaby.com"
or
"gotobaby.com"

You have many links pointing with this method. Don't forget the quotes.

You may have to wait till after the google dance update to see if your site with www comes up .

Don't worry about it justin, it's a matter of time. Happened to me many times this past 2 months, I jumped in and out. As soon a my listing in the dmoz kicked in. I got stable. hee.

could it be the .cmf file extention? is it not recognizing it?
all the other pages from that one are .htm

I am trying to be patient I'd just like to have more of a clue why the bots don't seem to index the www.homepage , for some reason they are all over my email a friend pages.

why would http://gotobaby.com come up & this - http://www.google.com/search?source...Egotobaby%2Ecom - be the answer for www.gotobaby.com when I've been in DMOZ the entire time and previously been indexed in google with the full www. All my new recip. links head towards the real page. very frustrating you know. thanks for the advice.
