What are your favorite tools for checking a sites back-link profile?
Anyone use a tool that makes any attempt at checking link relevance?
Do you check links to specific pages or mostly look site wide?

Yahoo Site Explorer!! Yes, I know it's down forever but I still look for it and shed a little tear when I see it's still goneOriginally Posted by realityhack
Started using Blekko, now you have to pay, I don't like Fish so that one is out, backlinkwatch.com is ok.
Good question though...
I refuse to pay for tools. Why? I either don't like the tools or am too cheap to pay.
I miss Yahoo's tool too. I play with MOZ and Majestic. There is nothing out there I really like.

spyglass free version & opensiteexplorer free version.
spyglasses results are a lot more recent than OSE's and you can arrange them by PR + it shows you if they're missing.. only annoying thing about it now is they stuck a captcha in the free version.
OSE makes it easier to find the quality links wish no PR, either because PR hasn't been updated or they're just on an old deep pages.
I find using them both builds up a roughly accurate picture.
One other thing I do is just google "domain.com", can be a pretty good way of finding some links, or at least sites they're mentioned on, also sometimes other interesting bits and bobs.

SpyGlass get my vote.
I use ahref and SEOMoz and Alexa to backcheck against SpyGlass. Now I do pay for it (spyglass), and the benefits I find are well worth the 5 bucks a month update fees.

No captcha's for the most part, unless you're banging the search engines pretty hard. You can subscribe to the paid captcha service, pretty cheap. When you bang them as hard as I do, Downloadable proxies, to get around the search engine blocks a great feature. I probably hit search engines for 5k to 6k queries a day. Not all SpyGlass either.
