Word Density Analyzer

I'm trying to find a tool that gives me word density data based on inputted text content. I've seen some programs that allow you to enter KWs and text (or url) and gives you KW density, but I'm looking for actual density on all words (except maybe the 'ands' 'or', forget what those are called).

What I'm trying to do is figure out what related keywords other sites are targetting in their content.

I use a free text program called "Note tab Light", it has some excellent features, plus you can edit your copy in it and check your word density almost instantly.

Keyword help- Y* vs. G* vs. M*

So i understand that Y* likes keyword density.. but Google does not.. so i'm trying to strike a good balance.

check out my site and use this density program:
http://www.ranks.nl/tools/spider.html

It's probably pretty obvious what my keyphrase is... am I over-doing it for G*? Or is this a good balance? (7.69%)

In all honesty.. DOES KEYWORD DENSITY EVEN MATTER?

the top few sites for the same keyphrase rarely even mentions my keywords at all!

Should i just get rid of it? I'm afriad it looks spammy.

Anyone do an experiment where they tested the density?

Thanks!

Density calculations

When computing KW density, it looks like all the words that you see on the screen is included in calculating the # of total words. Is this correct?

Also, the ranks.nl seems to be the best of the bunch in that it will actually calc out word density for every word in content. Only problem is, it doesn't recognize certain url's. For instance, I entered in a URL and I got this:

"Sorry, this application can be executed only from the www.ranks.nl domain unless you have special permission from our webmaster.
You may run our spider by clicking here. "

Anyone come across this??? Do I have to subscribe??

www.FromShawn.com gives a great free On-Site Analyzer that compares density and other things to the top 10 for any phrase.
