Why various log analyzer tools give different Unique Visitors?????
Oh my god??? I have used many log analyzer tools....like: nettrekker, fast stat, urchin so on but Unique visitors are different in every software and i m facing the problem in tracing Unique Visitors.
I want to know why various tools gave different figures where as they are using the same file only? |

It is perhaps because these tools deliver statistics, and each tool is a little different from the other.

1) different settings - each tool has their defaults. Sadly, there are major differences between various analyzers.
2) different approach to counting unique visitors - some tools try to count sessionid's (or tracking cookies), some try to sort uniques by ip's (and other data) , some mix and match... The only way to know which the precise settings are is to study the analyzer: read the docs, read the groups etc.
