Hi, does anyone know of a tool that will tell you how often or how many times a certain keyword is searched in google?

Also a tool that will tell you where you rank for a certain keyword (even if your not in the top 100).

well to give you an idea of how often a keyword is searched in google you can try this:
adwords.google(com)/select/KeywordToolExternal

for rankings you can use "Free Monitor for Google" or web position 4 if you want to dish out money. I am sure there are others out there but those two are the free / paid versions I have experienced

you can also check it @ inventory.overture[dot]com for yahoo keyword searches..

There are several keyword suggestion tool. install VRE tool bar. it ll help you.

Hi SEOche welcome to the forum, I use google traffic estimator to measure how many times a keyword is searched per month.

Google traffic estimator gives clicks per day, and I divide it with a click through of 2% (typical), to get searches per day. If you want to get the monthly figures, multiply it by 30 days.

And I let the max CPC to be blank for google to provide the value.
