Well, there's a site for you...

I see this :

Quote:
Keyword:

URL: www.

site is not in google sandbox

and I see no option to enter a url.

I feel lucky - who ever heard of a keyword being sandboxed?

Imagine the situation were keywords to be sandboxed...

We'd get NO results for them - that'd be quite user unfriendly...

Not impressed. At ALL!

Yes, that's what I said. Web pages can be sandboxed (as long as you accept that the sandbox exists... I accept that ) But keywords?

No how can a keyword be sandboxed?

Perhaps I'm stupid, but there's no logic in it.

Some say that sites attacking "certain" keywords get sandboxed while others (which are aiming for "less saught after keywords) don't.

This is wrong.

Any site can find itself in the sandbox - no matter which keywords would apply to it.

I'll go through my theory once again - but briefly because I'm tired and have "things" to do ;)

A site is created. It gets into Google's index and does quite well for a while (all relative and all depending on competition).

During the site's brief initial "success" algos are at work - they'll probably try and work out which search terms best fit this newly indexed site - I imagine it's quite complicated...

Once the site has been search phrase mapped, it'll be dropped - or hampered - from the results returned for searches using the phrases (ok, I'll say it, keywords) that the algo decided best suite the "new" site's content.

The site can now be said to be sandboxed (if you're a believer).

But the keyword wasn't sandboxed - the "searcher" can use it and still get results. WHich wouldn't be the case were it "sandboxed." would it?

The site gets sandboxed.

That's all I was saying.

Sites, not keywords.

or is that sily? is it ilogical?

Have I gone barmy (or barmier?)

Anyway - it's of little importance - I'd still like to see this tool working... But I'm not changing browsers to do so...

I'll give it a whirl

Wish me luck!

Thanks for the corrected link - that worked fine - it picked out a site which is sandboxed and flagged it as such too!

Impressive ;)

the site is sandboxed, not the keyword - one should probably say that "the site is sandboxed for the keyword (or phrase)?

Lovely jubbly!

Well done
