DON'T USE AUTOMATIC SUBMISSION SOFTWARE!
You don't even need to submit your site to google. If you have some good links pointing to the site then you will get indexed, once you are indexed you don't need to submit it. If you need to submit your site manually, do it once at - http://www.google.com/addurl/ Google terms and conditions state that they do not accept the use of automatic submission programs. By breaking the search engine's terms of service at the very first step, I don't fancy your chances of succesful SEO!

I agree, get one recognized backlink and you will be visited by the bots from Google, Yahoo, MSN, and many other search engines. Save your money and go and find at least one backlink.

So you suggest he should not use a semi-automatic directory submitter?! Hey guys, directory submitter IS a easy and SAFE way to get IBL. Do you consider submitting your website is directories is wrong? |

He didn't specify what type of submission software but he did indicate that its use was for submitting a particular web site to search engines, not to get inbound links from multiple directories. I would not recomend he did that either though. I don't consider that submitting your web site to directories is wrong no, its a good thing to do and I recomend it but do it manually in the following, more efficient way. Search Google for "Keyword 1"+"add url" This way you find all sites relevant to keyword 1 that will accept a URL ssubmission. Change Keyword 1 for all itterations of your keyword, change add url between add url / add site / submit url / submit site This is a great way to quickly and easily find sites that are relevant and that will accept a URL submission. I also have a list of free / paid and subscription directories that I regularly use. |

Using a semi-automatic directory submittion tool is in my opinion entirely safe. No way to go wrong with that. Instead it combines the best of both worlds. Fair speed + you can edit descriptions etc. for each directory website if you wish.
