Tracking Script/Database for Campaigns

Alright guys, did some searches for past threads on this, and since things are still a little honky, I didn't find much.

I wanted to see what SCRIPT other people in the forum use to track there email, Pay-per-click, advertising partnerships, links, etc.. for determining ROI and overall success of a campaign.

I am to the point where I need to find something to help me estimate the usefulness of the campaigns I run. I used to do it in my head, but I am getting to busy to mess with it.

Now some of the things I have heard that work great are the following:

Hypertracker.com & ConversionRuler.com

I have signed up for both free account to test them out.
But I am looking for inexpensive, and looking for something I can do myself, anytime, anywhere, and not have to rely on a third party tell me how good my ROI is. I want to report in-house, on my particular website.

I have been told that adding a query string is effective. But I am not really sure I want to scan my logs to picking out query strings

www.something.net?source=google

So what has worked for yall. Any ideas, or ways you could suggest to me to do this.

Thanks!

Ben

- Hypertracker and just keep a close watch to your campaign for PPC.

- For LookSmart referrals they recommend some software to track their referrals, sorry don't remember them off of the top of my head.

- Web tracking I recommend web trends.

Best of luck Ben, how do you like this hot weather in TX? I am in Dallas.
