Robot.txt

Just recently, I installed meta tags to my webpages using the generator on addme.com. I read on some other sites that it is important to use robot.txt. The above site meta tag generator already covers the robot function. However, I’m not sure that it addresses robot.txt. I can prepare and place a robot.txt file on my site but I’m not sure how to direct the meta tag script to that file.

1) Since I am using meta tags generated from the above site, do I need to include a robot.txt file?

2) If I should have this file, how should I reconstruct the existing meta tags to direct toward this file?

Thanks.

Like I've already said elsewhere, the answer to your first question is "no" (99.9% certain). Also, the robots.txt file has NOTHING to do with your meta tags, which are, most certainly, also useless.

Why don't you take the time to browse the forums for modern info? It might save you a lot of time and effort otherwise needlessly spent on stuff that won't work
