Question PHP Forum Script
Hello,

I want to integrate a php forum into a site of mine. I'm looking for some open source solution to meet the following:

1) Small size and fast rendering
2) Good internal structure and linkage
3) Easy to customize
4) Nonetheless, SEO friendly

This board will get busy, I doubt there will register more than 150 peeps/year, so solutions like phpBB or IPB are out of dicussions.

I know I ask too much, but I hope there's something for me!

Please explain. Why doesn't phpBB or IPB meet your needs?

I'm a fan of vB, but it isn't all that SEO friendly out of the box. But I've been able to make some simple mods to mine to make the SE's happy, even without mod rewrite. And when it comes to hacks for your board, the compliment of vB sites to add goodies to your board will provide you with virtually anything you might want.

I would say that thet the ones you mentioned would be perfect for you.

I use smf but it is a cow to customise unless you really know what you are doing.
Very user friendly and lets you know what posts you have missed while you have been away.
It also has a little control panel at the top left of the page to show you different stuff.
You can also have hidden sections just for certain levels of membership.

SMF is my choice, thanks Mick.

I avoid phpBB like solutions for these kind of projects as all I need is a simple regular forum (I don't say phpBB sucks, its well featured but I don't need much of them). Customize and seo friednlyness are desiderates as well.
