Looking for automatic Backlink software/code

I have been to a few sites where you can enter your link, and it will be added to their site immedately if you already have a link to that site. Where can I find code to accomplish that, or does anyone have any suggestions for an automated linking system?

This would be pretty simple to code yourself if you have a little coding experience. Especially if using PHP. What kind of setup are you using for your site? If you can run mySQL and PHP then I can help.

You can easily code but then there are problem with the limited resources, like it takes a lot of resources to execute.

does anybody have a readymade script, where the link authentication just allows link submission and still to show up on links page, the link needs manual approval ?

I have actually had a couple link exchange requests. I stick them in a email folder or notepad job jar and forget about them.

I was interested in learning how to code it also as a learning experience.

There are three levels of capability that I have seen.

1. catches link and posts it to your site.

2. catches link and tells you about it and then alerts you by email to approve the request.

3. full auto, catches link and tells requester your linking instructions,

sends requester email with link to inform the link "engine?" "'bot?" that your link is posted to
requesters site,

"pulse?" "sense?" the requesters site, if your link is there, okay > posts link on your site,
if not reminds requester.
