I hope this hasn't been posted before, I looked and didn't see anything, so if there's one out there, please let me know!
I am currently building my site's FAQ page, and the page is getting too long. I'm looking for some kind of script where when the user mouses over or clicks on the question they would like an answer to, either a box will pop up with the answer, or something of that nature. I'm hoping there is an easy way to condense a menu and responses of this nature, so any help is greatly appreciated. If you have other suggestions, please, PLEASE let me know as well!! Thanks in advance for the help! |

When you say that the page is getting too long, do you mean for the reader or for search engines? If it's the reader then what me can work out is a system to output all of the answers into hidden divs and then display the answers when the question is clicked (you could also use plus/minus signs to make the expandable content obvious). Mootools has a great accordion that might be perfect for this type of layout. If the page is getting too long for search engines then that's a harder problem. There's probably great content in your FAQs and we want to make sure it's indexed. Let's work on this problem if it's not the former issue. |

Thanks very much. I believe that the site is getting too long for the reader, so i wanted to try to find a way to show the answer only when moused over. if i do this, will the search engine still be able to easily navigate? |
