Exclamation Google blocking SEOmoz Tools
Hey gang,

As you may have noticed if you like to run the reports on SEOmoz, all of the tools are down today - Google has managed to find and block all of the IP addresses that we use to query them...

I'm searching for some bright programmers who may have ways to get around this issue. The API is a stopgap solution, as it is completely inaccurate, so I need to be able to scrape GG directly. Please PM me if you have some great ideas.

Seems to occur a lot these days - the "beat the google tool" phenomenon.

On the plus side: your tools are part of the G tool elite now (not that I ever doubted that - heh)

Tools are back online - we'll see how long we can hold out. They may be a tad slower, but we repaired some other items, so on the whole, wait times are probably actually down a bit.

I can give only this 1 bit of advice. Don't query Google.com and don't use the API. Oh, and don't do any of it directly. Plus... You didn't hear it from me.
