301 redirect not working
Hello
Can someone please help me with this redirect. I created my site map and instead of google picking up http://www.doxieland.com/site map.asp it is doxieland.com/site map.asp it has already been indexed. First I know I should not have left a space in the title site map it should have been sitemap. (if anyone knows what I did wrong to get indexed incorrectly I would appreciate taht fix) Any way I decided to create another page sitemap and redirect site map. this is the .htaccess Options Indexes FollowSymLinks Includes AddType application/x-httpd-cgi .cgi ErrorDocument 404 /404.asp AddType text/x-server-parsed-html .html .shtml Redirect 301 /site map.asp http://www.doxieland.com/sitemap.asp Can anyone help when I use the above redirect I get an internal error that shuts down my whole site. |

Sorry I had to remove the redirect line in .htacces to reenable my site. That is why it a appears to work now. |

Sounds good. But instead of 301 errors, I simply use header(), a PHP function.

Maybe asking if anyone knows the correct character for a space would be the best way to figure out the problem? I am able to redirect anything other than those that contain a space in the title.
Thanks |
